The Department of Natural Resources and Memorial University for testing all cats for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Bayer Animal Health for providing deworming and flea treatments to all cats.

Breen’s Bakery & Deli and Browning Harvey Limited for providing lunch to the volunteers.

This gift reaches beyond the 40 cats by reducing the future overpopulation in a significant way.

Avalon Animal Hospital continues to expand the capabilities of its staff to help serve you better. Through continuing education our healthcare team are learning new ways to improve the care of your pets when they come to see us.

Congratulations to Melissa on her recent completion of a two-week continuing education course on the Basic Principles of Urinalysis. This course concentrated on the importance of specimen collection methods and dipstick analysis, along with microscopic identification of cells and casts found in urine sediment.

In the ever-changing world of Veterinary Science and new product launches, it is vital that our staff keeps up with the changes. This makes sure that our patients get the benefits of new inventions and the latest research.
